Nov 25 - Careers Day

We hosted our Trust wide Careers day for year 5 children across all schools at Schools For Every Child.
This week, our Year 5 pupils took part in a very special Careers Day, designed to spark curiosity, broaden horizons, and help children begin thinking about the exciting possibilities their futures might hold.
To make the day truly memorable, we invited a wonderful group of parent volunteers to come in and talk about their careers. The children loved hearing first-hand what different jobs involve—from the challenges to the rewards—and they asked thoughtful questions throughout each session. A huge thank-you to all the parents who gave up their time to share their experiences. Your enthusiasm and willingness to talk about your work helped our pupils see just how many paths are open to them.
A highlight of the day was a visit from our guest speaker, a professional hurdler who has represented Great Britain. They spoke about the dedication, resilience, and passion required to compete at an elite level, and they encouraged the children to follow their interests and work hard for their goals. The pupils were captivated by the stories of international competitions, training routines, and the importance of perseverance—both in sport and in everyday life.
Throughout the day, Year 5 demonstrated curiosity, respect, and fantastic engagement. We hope Careers Day has inspired them to dream big, stay curious, and explore the many opportunities the world has to offer.
Thank you again to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success. We look forward to running it again next year!
